Conclusions:
- The digital image has less noise (grain) at 125 ISO than a scanned Fuji Velvia 35 mm slide at 50 ISO. - The digital image has a higher resolution. despite the much smaller sensor size (23.7 x 15.5 vs 35 x 23 for a mounted slide) and smaller output size (10 MPixel vs. 19 MPixel) - The digital image has more accurate colour reproduction - The use of a short focal length (17 mm vs 26 mm) leads to more chromatic abberation on the digital image (only visible at the edges and in areas with very strong contrast)
