Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek

The walls of Windjana Gorge rise steeply from the plain. The walls are part of an ancient reef in the Napier Ranges.

Freshwater crocodiles (Crocodylus johnstoni) basking in the sun.

Freshwater crocodiles are shy animals and relatively harmless, unless provoked.

Sunset at Windjana Gorge.

At Tunnel Creek National Park a river has cut a 750 m long tunnel through the Napier Range.

The river can followed through the pitch black tunnel. Bring a torch and expect to get wet!
