One of my favourite animals: the Wedgetail Eagle. This majestic bird is quite common in WA and you can see often one or two in the neighbourhood of a dead animal. Take care when driving. These birds are slow to take off and do not easily give up their pray. Slow down, when you see one!

Crossing the Gascoyne river.

We camped hallfway Gascoyne Junction and Mt. Augustus. It was absolutely dead quiet after sunset. I had never experienced such silence in my life before.

Sunset over Mt. Augustus, the world's largest monolith.
