After 14 mm overnight rain we decided to call this section the "Gibson swamp"
Warning sign at Carnegie station. It took us 2 days to cover this section (which was in good condition!).
Rain can turn this road quickly into an impassable slippery section and mechanical breakdowns are common.
Make sure you carry heaps of water in case you get stuck for some reason.
32 caterpillars have lined up to resemble a snake to avoid being eaten by birds.
